Our guesthouse Acqua Viva is in the best location to see Umbria, centrally located between Assisi and Gubbio, near beautiful parks and yet not too far from the sea.

Our guests will explore a veritable treasure box: the small and unexplored region of Umbria with numerous cherished ancient places, the breathtaking beauty of the Apennine mountains (nearby 2700m), the wonderful National Parks, the old potteries and other craft shops, the hermitages, the ancient cathedrals, the delicious traditional kitchen of our mountain villages, the unforgettable medieval feasts, the Franciscan trails through Umbria, the wondrous cave of Frassisi (the most beautiful cave in the world and the biggest in Europe) and lots more.

Gubbio: One of the most interesting, historical and well-preserved ancient towns in Italy (30mins)

Perugia: The very old town (pre Roman) is Umbria’s capital – city of art, jazz and chocolate. (35mins)

Assisi: The most important pilgrimage place in Italy, birth- and burial place of St Francis and St.Claire. (25mins)

Spello: A charming medieval hilltop village famous for the Corpus Christi festival with floral designs in the streets. (40 mins)

Spoleto: Another ancient Umbrian town rich in spirituality and history, famous for the classical concerts of the Two Worlds in summer. (50mins)
