Apart from Perugia airport there are a variety of airports in our area namely: Rome, Florence, Ancona and Pisa, which are frequented also by bargain airlines like Ryanair, TUIfly or German Wings.
It's easy to rent a car at the airport.

Naturally you can drive down with your own car. Below you find some directions.

From Bologna
you drive on highway A14 in direction towards Ancona until the exit Cesena. From there you'll take the E45 towards Rome and Perugia. The road is toll free and very beautiful. Your next exit is 11km north of Perugia at Valfabbrica/Ancona.
After the exit you take the new toll free highway 318var  and drive towards Ancona passed Valfabbrica until you reach the exit Casacastalda (after the tunnel). Down at the roundabout head west towards our village Casacastalda for another 3.5 km uphill. Drive through the village (direction Perugia / Valfabbrica).  On your left you see a little park.  At the end of the park (above you'll notice a sports field)  take a right into the last road going up hill (Via Garibaldi) and continue.  Drive a few hundred metres till the end of the road where the tarmac stops. You'll carry on for another 800m on the gravel road, which ends in Acqua Viva

From Florence
You drive on highway A1 towards Roma. After the service area Lucignano you take the next exit Val Di Chiana / Perugia. You continue on road 75 and drive on through Perugia then heading North for 11km towards Cesena on the E45 until the exit Valfabbrica / Ancona - From there you take the exit Casacastalda and continue.  (See above)

From Rome airport stay on the ring road circumventing Rome heading towards Firenze (Florence). Eventually you be on the motorway A1 direction Firenze which you drive until Orte. You exit and take a right for the E45 leaving on your side Narni heading towards Perugia. Continue towards Cesena always on E45 and take the exit Valfabbrica / Ancona.
From there please check "From Bologna"
